Debut play "The Death of Andryusha", partly playing on the biography of the author, tells the story of an older schoolboy living in a small Siberian town. The black sheep at school and at home, he protests against the existing order of things. The play is crowned by an imaginary or real suicide, stating the ending either as a continuation of an oppressive routine or as an afterlife.
