This performance, shown once specifically in a Moscow park just on Russia Day (June 12), peculiarly recycled the language that my colleagues and I found in the play "Homeland." The inauguration of Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2018, when he told a hesitant Constitutional Court chairman, "You may begin," was wryly acted out with the help of black-clad Transformer Girls. The performance was crowned by women’s voices singing the Soviet song "How the Motherland Begins," which Putin had once sung at the opening of the Theater of Nations.
